Embracing change
I’m a natural storyteller who inspires audiences to embrace change by sharing my experiences of transformation, travel and trauma. I share witty, relatable stories of a life spent changing careers, countries and the status quo.
After knocking myself out on the Tube on the way to my achingly cool job at an international design agency (Mind the Gap!) I made the decision to leave my whole London life behind to become a windsurfing instructor in Australia. I didn’t make it as a windsurfing instructor (!) but I did meet my husband on the plane.
Twenty years later we run an award winning tech business, are leaders in tropical innovation and live the oceanic life in one of the most extreme, epic and brutal places, not only in Australia, but on Earth - the incredible Northern Territory.
But it was only after I was diagnosed with cPTSD at 47 that I truly understood how to embrace change - by radically accepting the truth of who I was and the brutal truths of life. I now doesn’t ask for the oceans to be calm, or rage at the tides of change - instead I became a mighty ship!
